Tuesday, July 9 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM — Tricia Reichert will offer a line image relief print demonstration. Attendees can make a print to take home from Tricia’s carved block at the end of the demo. 

Saturday, July 13 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM — What’s intaglio? From Italian meaning “to cut” or “carve,” this genre of printmaking includes etching, engraving, drypoint and much more. Cheryl Barton will demonstrate and explain printing an etching on the press and show examples of other intaglio processes.

Saturday, July 20 between 1:00 and 4:00 PM — Are you curious about the art of Printmaking? Come see 15+ examples of different printmaking techniques and learn how prints are made in this demo/talk presented by Lynn Evey. Please drop in.

Be Part of the Process: Printmaking Demo — Saturday, May 18, 2:00 to 4:00 PM by Barbara and Rosey Rosenthal. Free. Curious about the process of printmaking? Don't miss this rare opportunity to "Be Part of the Process" in this Printmaking Demonstration featuring Resident Artists Rosey and Barbara Rosenthal!
Rosey and Barbara will help you ink, wipe, and print an etching plate they have already drawn and etched. The printed paper etching will be yours to keep! We will provide gloves and an apron; you'll provide the muscle to turn the etching press. To sign up for a participation slot, please reserve your space by emailing contact@studiosonthepark.org. We can accommodate 3-4 participants per half hour slot, or you can watch and learn!

Poetry Readings — Sunday, May 19 2:00 to 3:00 PM — Also, printmakers will discuss processes for illustrating their specific prints for the poems.

Gell Monotype Print Workshop — Saturday, June 1 by Joyce Bauerle; 12:30- 4:30 PM. Working with 8x10” gelli plates, using stencils, texture, natural materials and water-based inks, students will make a series of prints. By layering color with your own cut stencils and mark-making to create an interesting surface, you will explore the process of creating a monotype. $80 per person; all materials included; limit 6 people. Please consider that you may be standing for some time as you work. Bring an apron, it is a messy process. Email Joyce for more information.

Block Print Demo — Saturday, June 8 by Lynn Evey; 12:30 to 2:30 PM. Drop-in. Free — This demo will introduce you to the printmaking process of Block Printing. This is the technique where an image is carved into a block of rubber, linoleum or wood. You will see finished examples of prints with their blocks and see a rubber block in progress. An inking station will be available to try your hand at printing a sample block.

Gelli Print Demo — Sunday, June 16 by Pat Bromberger; 12:30 to 2:30 PM

Drypoint Demo — Saturday, June 22 by Lynn Evey; 12:30 to 2:30 PM. Drop-in. Free —This demo will introduce you to the printmaking process of Drypoint. This is the technique where an image is incised or scratched with a sharp tool into a hard surface. Ink is pushed into the design, excess is wiped off the surface and then run through an etching press with dampened paper. The various steps will be shown along with examples using plastic plates.
